Mumbai “the city of dreams” always surprises me. Having been there so many times, I always find something new to explore every time I visit Mumbai. This time, even though I was traveling for work to Mumbai, decided to take my family along and make a fun trip out of it. So I was looking for a hotel that was close to the airport and well connected with the rest of the city and we found Radisson Mumbai Andheri MIDC to be just the one.

Radisson Mumbai Andheri MIDC

Radisson Mumbai Andheri MIDC just 10 minutes away from Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (BOM) and Andheri Railway station is located in Andheri East suburbs. The hotel is quite ideal for business travelers as well as those on a holiday and provides the perfect base to unwind after a busy work day or a tiring sight seeing trip.

Our Check in

Once we reached Radisson Mumbai Andheri MIDC, we were warmly greeted by the staff as our luggage was scanned and sanitised. We had a temperature check at the entrance and were asked to sanitise our hands. The first look of the lobby was very chic and comfortable perfect for business meetups or to just chill.

Next was our check in which was quick and the team shared all the covid protocols that they are following and expected the guests to follow too. It was very reassuring to see that they were still asking every one to mask up even though Mumbai has removed the mandatory mask wearing practice.

Rooms

We were escorted to our room and upon entering I realised how functional the space is. The king size bed was drawing after a long trip and the floor to ceiling window gave a lot of roominess. The room had a workstation that was blended artistically into the room.

The room had everything that one would need for a business trip or a short holiday. But what stood out the most were their welcome treats, chocolates and goodies for the little one which immediately made him super happy.

Restaurants

Radisson Mumbai Andheri MIDC is also quite popular with the locals for its food. We loved their breakfast spread which had a variety of dishes from various cuisines. There were live counters and it was fun watching chefs prepare the dishes with so much of expertise. Lunch and dinner are served as buffet but you can also order ala-carte.

For one lunch we had the opportunity to try their inhouse specialty, Malvani fish thali and what amazing food! The fish soul curry is a must try which was smacked with flavours and the prawn fry was cooked to perfection. Also tried Kharvas an interesting sweet that is very rare and unique to Malvan cuisine as it is made out of cow or buffalo colostrum, the first form of milk produced within two days of giving birth.

Amenities

Radisson Mumbai Andheri MIDC has a beautiful swimming pool in the ground floor which is perfect for pool days. I could imagine the space could also be very useful for poolside parties for friends and family. The hotel also has a well equipped gym that is open 24×7 for residing guests.

I did see their conference rooms were busy with conferences and private functions on all days. The staff also mentioned that due to its location, you can visit nearby attractions like Juhu Beach, ISKCON Juhu, Sanjay Gandhi National park and Mahakali caves in your downtime.
