I am always on a look out for a good bar of chocolate and recently tried Beetee’s Melt chocolates. These gourmet chocolate bars are bean to bar artisan chocolates that are created with care and attention to details and technique of chocolate making. Artisan chocolates are made with no artificial flavours, additives, or preservatives. And since they are made with higher quality cocoa beans than conventional chocolate bars, the flavour is truly unique and pure.

About Beetee’s Melt Chocolate

The story of BeeTee’s Melt Chocolates is an interesting one. It started with an Indian Chocolatier, Mrs. Thamarai who loved making chocolates and succeeded in converting her hobby into a popular premium handmade chocolate-making business. Her company likes to call itself “Chocolate makers with soul”.

What differentiates BeeTee’s Melt Chocolate is that they use only the finest ingredients to make their chocolates. They use natural ingredients without preservatives, chemicals, or artificial colors or flavors. So naturally, they choose local brands made using traditional methods over global companies making mass-market chocolates. I found it very interesting that BeeTee’s Melt chocolates are Gluten free, Soy free, Refined sugar free, Preservative free Chocolates making them quite healthy.

Chocolate making that is an art

The technique that is used to make BeeTee’s Melt Chocolate is quite unique and the process starts from sourcing the beans from Cacoa farmers from Vietnam and Kerala. The raw beans are then tasted and are fermented in wooden crates. And after drying the beans in the sun they will be hand roasted by the chocolate maker till they have the perfect aroma.

The roasted and cooled beans are cracked into nibs which are ground to extract chocolate liquor  which is poured finally poured in a temperature controlled room and tempered until it is just right. Another differentiating factor is that the cacao butter is not separated from the beans making BeeTee’s Melt Chocolate even more smooth and irresistible.

My experience

I tried three different types of BeeTee’s Melt Chocolates. They came well packed in a tin box that I felt was a useful addition for gifting someone. The first chocolate that I had was BeeTee’s Melt 48% Milk Chocolate which was gooey and flavoursome as it melted right in my mouth the moment I had it. This chocolate is also one of the sweetest amongst all and will definitely appeal to those who have a sweet tooth.

The next one that I tried was another milk chocolate however this was 34% milk chocolate which meant the cocoa content was intense. This chocolate uses Muscovada Sugar for sweetening and is a bean to bar artisan chocolate hence guaranteeing a premium experience when you consume it. Out of the three packets, I found this packaging the best and very colorful.

The final chocolate that I tried and loved it in a heartbeat was the coconut milk chocolate which has cacao beans, cacao butter, coconut milk and sweetened with coconut sugar. This chocolate was quite different from the regular chocolates mainly due to the happy addition of the subtle coconut flavour. And once you have it you will vouch that chocolate and coconut are meant to be paired together not to mention the health benefits coconut chocolate has. They are packed with antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients that are wonderful for your health.

What’s more

Beetee’s Melt has also introduced nut butters and spreads that come in many different flavours. Infact I like the sound of chocolate almond butter and can’t wait to try it.
